Site Upgrade Scheduled for November 3, 2013

It is now Sunday November 3, 2013 and so that means three (3) things are going to happen today, if you did not finish it last evening:
  1. For those of us where it applies, we will be setting our clocks back one hour.
  2. Everyone will be changing the batteries in their smoke detectors and carbon monoxide monitors.
  3. Many web sites, forums and blogs are scheduled for routine upgrades.
You may find that the CEFSG Forum (http://cefresearch.ca/phpBB3/) may be out of service on-and-off as the INSTALL process is working. It automatically restricts access to the server during the process. Not to worry, that is a good time to check out the CEFSG Wiki site (http://cefresearch.ca/wiki/) and perhaps participate in the process to upload and/or update the wiki pages. The static Matrix (http://cefresearch.ca/matrix/) will also remain in operation.

If there are any delays or problems with the upgrade a follow-up notice will be posted here. All of the forum pages and databases have been backed up earlier today as part of the upgrade process.

First step is complete:

Updating database to latest stable release
Database type :: mysqliPrevious version :: 3.0.10Updated version :: 3.0.12

Connection Problems April 22, 2013

I am noticing connection issues with cefresearch.ca and others have reported intermittent problems in the past weeks. This site is on the same server as other sites I operate and they are working fine, so I am not sure where the problem lies - if there is one. If you do experience "delays" or "slow loading pages" please let me know by responding to this post so they are tracked.

I am experiencing the same problem with Windows Explorer and Google Chrome.
